Yesterday, Jon “Bergin” Van Allen passed away in a horrific car accident. I personally knew Bergin for about 6 years. Bergin was a great MMO player with an agressive in-your-face and take-no-shit play style that is unmatched. He was also a great guy who was always joking around and shooting the shit. A few days ago, I spoke with Berg on AIM, and we talked about playing Aion together in the fall. I was excited to get the team on the field again. I’m still coming to grips with the fact I’m never gunna hear his voice on Vent or gank noobs with him again. Â I know in the greater scheme of things, this seems kind of petty, but this was the Jon I knew. Â Rest in peace berg - I hope there are MMOs in heaven.

We have settled into our new home at Monolith and we may start actively recruiting again. If you are interested in joining the guild, send a message to Tripmode in game (or any other War Pig). Here is where the guild stands right now:
- Guild rank is almost 15 Â
- We are most active between the hours of 8pm-1am EST (and later on weekends)
- Most of us are older/professional types who work full time.
- We could use all classes, but currently need a Bright Wizard or two….

As you may or may not have noticed, we currently have a tax rate of 1%. That means that 1% of all the gold you loot is automatically donated to the guild bank. Money from selling loot is NOT taxed.Â
We may have to increase the tax rate soon once we evaluate our guild financial needs.Â

Just a quick update - haven’t given the blog much attention lately because I’ve been in-game during all my free time.
 Anyway, the guild was formed on Sept. 20th. We currently have roughly 30 members and have achieved guild rank 3 (almost rank 4!).
The population on Middenheim is also improving each day. Peopele are finally starting to trickle into the t2 zone, and RVR has picked up substantially (though the t2 queue lines are still horribly long).
If you would like to learn more about the guild, please post on our forums, or send a tell in-game to Trip, Blackjax, Danimal, Bergin, or any War Pig member really (you can search in-game by guild FYI).

The Open PVP servers do not seem very popular so Mythic is scaling back. Bugman is no longer going to launch, so we will instead go to the Core server Middenheim.
